Leanne attended her first yoga class in January 2010 at the Madison East YMCA in the hopes that yoga would help her stand up straight. Besides feeling taller, she noticed a new sense of inner calm and felt a new connection to herself and the world. She headed into teacher training that same year and has been sharing her love of yoga and mindfulness with others ever since.
Leanne is a Yoga Alliance E-RYT 200/RYT 500 hour yoga teacher. She received her 200 hour certification from Aubree Saia at Jewel in the Lotus and her 500 hour certification in 2016 with the RajaHatha School of Yoga under the tutelage of Amy Pearce-Hayden. Her teaching style combines creative sequencing with safe alignment, eclectic playlists and a fun, nurturing approach. Her goal is to get people more deeply connected to their own bodies, breath and the present moment--to help them say "yes" to the reality of their experience, whatever that may be. Ultimately, she hopes people leave her classes feeling a sense of peace within themselves, more space in their bodies, and a deeper acceptance of all that is, both on and off their mats.
